Goebbels, en av regimets mest uforsonlige antisemitter, ble tidlig nazistpartiets sjef i Berlin og ledet blodige gateslagsm\u00e5l mellom byens nazister og kommunister p\u00e5 20-tallet. Etter maktovertakelsen ble han utnevnt til propagandaminister og tok full kontroll over det tyske kulturlivet.
