I et siste desperat fors\u00f8k p\u00e5 \u00e5 f\u00e5 forsyninger fram til Malta, sendte de allierte olje og ?ybensin med lasteb\u00e5ter og \u00e9n tankb\u00e5t, SS Ohio.  SS Ohio ble bombet og torpedert og til slutt forlatt. Men to unge matroser, en av dem norske Fred Larsen, kom seg ombord i det \u00f8delagte tankskipet etter at deres eget skip gikk ned i ?ammer.
