Hun har lest, intervjuet forskere og reist i en rekke land for \u00e5 f\u00f8lge sporene bakover.<\/p>\n<p>Siden 1980-tallet har DNA-teknologien gjennomg\u00e5tt en enest\u00e5ende utvikling. Den har revolusjonert b\u00e5de kriminalteknikernes arbeid og biologisk og medisinsk forskning, og har bidratt til ny kunnskap innen arkeologi og historie. Til og med privatpersoner som driver slektsforskning, har begynt \u00e5 bruke DNA-tester. Sm\u00e5 variasjoner i DNA-sekvenser gj\u00f8r det mulig \u00e5 finne s\u00f8skenbarn, tremenninger og firmenninger, og til og med slektninger som levde for veldig lenge siden &#8211; under siste istid og enda lenger tilbake.<\/p>\n<p>Resultatet av Bojs&#8217; arbeid har blitt en bok om hennes opphav og familie. Men ogs\u00e5 om oss andre. Vi er jo i slekt. Et sted, en gang levde v\u00e5r siste felles formor og forfar.
