Gjennom eksempler fra humaniora, naturvitenskap og samfunnsvitenskap problematiserer Globalkunnskap en rekke av v\u00e5re vedtatte sannheter og forklarer hvorfor v\u00e5re mentale kart ikke lenger passer med terrenget.
\tSamtidig skisserer boken opp nye forst\u00e5elseshorisonter for det 21. \u00e5rhundre. Her blir klassisk filosofi i Kina, India og Hellas sett med et globalt blikk. Globalkunnskap er en id\u00e9historisk reise fra den sekul\u00e6re lokayata-tenkningen i India, via kvinnen i Japan som skrev verdens f\u00f8rste roman, til filmen The Matrix. <\/p>\n

\tVerden er b\u00e5de st\u00f8rre og mindre enn vi tror. Det handler om \u00e5 gjenoppdage v\u00e5r mangfoldige verden i fortid og n\u00e5tid. <\/p>\n

Dag Herbj\u00f8rnsrud (f. 1971) er id\u00e9historiker og leder av Senter for global og komparativ id\u00e9historie (SGOKI). Han har tidligere skrevet for Aftenposten, Morgenbladet, Ny Tid, Al-Jazeeras engelske nettsider og Information.
