B\u00e5de elever og lokalt rekrutterte l\u00e6rere i den norske allmueskolen m\u00e5tte forholde seg til det danske bokspr\u00e5ket. For dem var dansk et fremmedspr\u00e5k. Det var en avgrunn mellom det lokale talem\u00e5let og b\u00f8kenes tekster. Dette, kombinert med at tekstene handlet om vidl\u00f8ftige trossp\u00f8rsm\u00e5l, skapte vanskelige vilk\u00e5r for undervisning.<\/p>\n<p>Boka er basert p\u00e5 et fyldig materiale. Fortellinger fra Norsk Folkeminnelags skrifter, selvbiografier, bygdeb\u00f8ker og lokal skolehistorie gir et unikt innblikk i skolehverdagen med dens konflikter og triumfer.
