Og hvorfor har ingen skrevet deres historie?  <\/p>\n<p>De tyske Wehrmacht-soldatene satte utallige spor i nordmennenes liv &#8211; mange av dem traumatiske, andre tabubelagte, atter andre tause og ufortalte. I denne boken vil forfatter og historiker Torgeir E. S\u00e6veraas gi en utfyllende fortelling om de tyske soldatenes liv i Norge, og hvilke strategiske hensyn som krevde s\u00e5 mange soldater her i landet.  <\/p>\n<p>Adolf Hitler mente at Norge ville v\u00e6re \u00abkrigens skjebnesone\u00bb, hvor avgj\u00f8rende slag ville st\u00e5. Basert p\u00e5 offisielle dokumenter og brev som soldatene skrev hjem, og mengder av hittil ubenyttede kilder, beskriver S\u00e6veraas soldatenes egen oppfatning av krigen, av landet, av savnet av familien &#8211; og om deres ideologiske overbevisning om at Hitler-Tyskland ville seire.
