Av alle kunstteknikker er tegning den som representerer den korteste veien mellom tanken, h\u00e5nden og papiret. Det utkommer ikke mange b\u00f8ker om samtidskunstneres tegninger. Denne utgivelsen er derfor ogs\u00e5 et viktig prosjekt for tegningen som en selvstendig kunstform. <\/p>\n<p>Boken er basert p\u00e5 et materiale som i stor grad dreier seg om arbeider fra de siste 20 \u00e5rene, men viser ogs\u00e5 ulike forelegg for tegningene, som foto og stills fra filmer etc. Tekster og tekstfragmenter er en integrert del av fremstillingen i boken. Fra Plinius, Leonardo da Vinci, Jorge Luis Borges og til \u00d8yvind Rimbereid m\u00f8ter vi ulike forestillinger om tegning. Alle tekstene er gjengitt i sin originale form, ut fra en tanke om \u00e5 trekke opp forbindelseslinjene mellom form og innhold, tekstens og strekens materialitet og historisitet.
