Presten P\u00e9tur av Meyjarh\u00f3ll skriver et brev \u2013 eller en rapport, ja man kan til og med si en tiltale \u2013 for \u00e5 uttrykke sin vrede over de rystende hendelsene. Selv om Br\u00fanasandur befinner seg p\u00e5 verdens ytterste rand, bl\u00e5ser det internasjonale vinder dit som b\u00e6rer med seg et nytt verdensbilde, ideer og b\u00f8ker, engelsk dugg, spanske hvalfangere og ordrer fra kongen i K\u00f8benhavn. Men menneskenes hjerter adlyder ingen annen lov enn sin egen.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>J\u00f3n Kalman Stef\u00e1nsson (f. 1963) er en av Islands mest kritikerroste forfattere og en kj\u00e6r favoritt blant lesere b\u00e5de i Norden og internasjonalt. Stef\u00e1nsson er oversatt til 27 spr\u00e5k, og hans store internasjonale gjennombrudd kom med triologien om Gutten. Med <em>Himmelsk m\u00e5ne over verdens ytterste rand<\/em> er Stef\u00e1nsson tilbake i samme landskap som den bestselgende Gutten-trilogien og viser nok en gang hvorfor han regnes som en av Islands
